MP Mats play a major roll to successful |

| The JRAC program developed materials and
techniques for rapidly upgrading existing or constructing new contingency
airfields in theater with Low Logistical Footprint, from site assessment,
construction and soil stabilization. The MP Mat was a major asset for the soil stabilization portion of the operation. Over 600 MP Mats were deployed to create a 26,000 sq. ft tarmac capable of supporting aircraft and aircraft support equipment under any adverse weather conditions. |
